QLRAD B.V. was founded in March of 2009. It was originally founded in 1989 under the name Hospimed International.
Beginning in March of 2009, QLRAD took over from Hospimed, all manufacturing, developing, and designing activities pertaining to radiotherapy products.
For the past 20 years QLRAD has been a main manufacturing company which specializes in the developing, designing and the assembly of medical devices such as endorectal balloon products as well as other radiotherapy products.Since 2006, we have added additional radiotherapy products such as gold markers and brachy/ placement needle products. These products are mainly manufactured and/or assembled under our own label, QLRAD.

Our strength is our flexibility which allows us to make fast change on the design. Our products are developed in cooperation with physicians and other professionals with a background in medicine.
We have a committee consisting of radiotherapists and physicians from all over the world. They review the ideas and developments to keep our products "state of the art" for professionals and patients.
